“Long distance affair”

Have you ever been so far away from a person you’ve gotten used to be around with everyday?
Me? Yeah, several times…and its never easy. Its like being a child having a routine and all of a sudden you’ll change their routine, then a huge setback.
Sometimes I think its just the dependency that really upset you,why? Because you are always with that person and you happen to depend on that person without realizing that one day you wont be with each other or that person have to be far..far away,then…what are you gonna do?
I remember having a long distance love affair, he lives 5hrs to 6 hrs drive(depending on the traffic) from were I live in Manila. We talk hours and hours on the phone everyday, without thinking about how much it will cost us on long distance phone calls. That time cellphones where not as accessible as they are today. It was the pager era back then, I remember my pager would beep every 30mins, just short messages either call me, 1435254(no thats not his phone number, it means I LOVE YOU MAHAL NA MAHAL KITA, if you’ll count the letter on each word you’ll get the numbers), i miss you,forever love, cant wait 4 weekend, its Friday, I’ll be at the bus station midnight. The best message I like to receive was “Its Friday”, it means he will be on his way to see me or I am coming up his way to see him. That time I feel like the 5hr drive is just driving from Fresno to Clovis. We were so inlove that having a long distance love affair is nothing expensive. We’re able to handle the relationship and we lasted for 5years.
But that was then, now…I want to believe that I will be just fine. That I can still handle and manage a long distance affair. Aside from missing him so bad, I have to be able to take care of my two boys and myself of course.
For me long distance love affair works for some people, but for most it wont.
